Such a good piece, this, from the 80s but without the naffness (OK I may have removed the shoulderpads, hence the generous shoulder girth), it's in a triacetate (70%) poly (30%) jersey fabric that's soft and drapey. You can see how it goes: buttons under that covered placket, then there's a zip fly in the pant and the belt is removable --though why would you do that? You can wear the collar open in which case the nifty button-across modesty panel comes in handy--it gives the appearance of a matching layer underneath--and you could roll the sleeves up for a less career look. The leg is wide, gathered flatteringly at the waist, and there are, importantly, pockets. The color's a great Indigo, the kind of color they can't get right these days. It's a size 4, but unusually for vintage, runs large.
Measurements: bust 38", waist 28", body length to waist 18", waist to hem 42". shoulder 21", inside leg 31"
STORY: I've hung onto this for years and do not want to part with it but it's too hangy on me. Your gain.
